March. 16th, a delegation of Karolinska Institute Sweden headed by Vice President Professor Maria Masucci, Research Director Professor Anders Gustafsson, International Affairs Director Katarina Drakenberg and others concerned were invited to visit Shanghai Medical College to negotiate bilateral collaboration and attend FUDAN-KI Joint Symposium. Karolinska Institute, established in 1810, is a research-based medical school of high regard in Europe and ranked high in the world. Through several years’ preparations, twelve professors from both FUDAN and KI had confirmed to build up one to one academic intention. Under this circumstance, FUDAN-KI Joint Symposium was held in Mingdao Building. Six Chinese speakers included Proferssor Li Daqiang of FUSCC, Professor Wu Jian of FUDAN Basic Medical Sciences, Professor Ding Yan of FUDAN Obstetrics & Gynecology Hospital, Professor Xu Biao, School of Public Health FUDAN, Professor Gu Hongzhou, Institutes of Biomedical Science FUDAN and Professor Zhang Wei of HuaDong Hospital. Professor Li Daqiang made an oral presentation theme of “Epigenetic silencing of RNF 144A promotes breast cancer progression by enhancing the stability of HSPA2 protein”.
